I've been saying China has us over a barrel for a while now. They have invested so much money in the US, we are dependent on them. They own us. So now they can do what ever they want to us. Here is just one area they're attacking us at. The silent biological war.

October 4, 2008It started with pet food contaminated with melamine. There were reports of pets all over the country dying from kidney failure. Now, we're discovering that melamine is in literally thousands of products all over the world that humans consume from baby food, to pigs, to wheat gluten, to rice protein, to candy. Ironically, it's all coming from China.
If a problem like this were isolated to one product and the manufacturer was caught it would be one thing. When something as serious as we're now finding effects so many different consumable products, it can no longer be passed off as an accident or a simple mistake. This appears to be a silent method of warfare, and food is the weapon our enemies have chosen.
Perhaps all those drum beats during the opening ceremony of the Olympics had far more to do with being the drum beats of war than a ceremony to open a sporting event. Check out all the stories and clips for yourself posted below about the level and depth of the melamine contamination and draw your own conclusions. If this isn't bioterrorism, what else would you call it?

This is a reply to # 1,270,902In a culture where only one child
per family is tolerated, without paving
the pockets of corrupt officials, I
doubt that they would poison a full
generation by testing a contaminated
product on their own children. In
China, thousands of infants are sick
and they have had deaths.
I think it is just another sign of the
erosion of the safeguards most of us take
for granted are in place. Especially
when global companies mix ingredients from
different countries of origin, it is very
difficult to know where our foods and our
medicines or supplements come from when
they contain more than one ingredient.
Perhaps there is no WILL to have oversight.
Humans are becoming faceless to each other
in the market place. There is lots of room
for problems and issues to be buried by those
unwilling to pay and work to do the right
thing. We have learned over time that NEW &
IMPROVED often isn't. Time will tell if
there is really a "war" against us. We *are*
the consumers of the products they make and
so in a sense it has become more symbiotic
financially to hold us up so we can hold them
up too.
It can be a lot better. People need to stay
vigilant however and speak when they can to
demand more accountability. Obviously however,
one example which has not worked is Aspartame.
Power lobbies have successfully kept this toxic
product on the market in the name of profit.
It was greed that put it on the shelves and
greed which keeps it there.
How to rid a man's soul of greed...now there
is a question that begs answers...

This is a reply to # 1,271,247You're right about there being "no WILL to have oversight". That's certainly half the problem. But when something happens so frequently, there comes a point where wondering comes to an end.
