I don't know where the posts that you are referring to are. Communism is an economic system that we have seen fall when practiced in large areas - Russia, etc. But, as a economic system it has been very successful in the Kibbutz in Israel. Everyone works 6 days a week, at the end of the year, all profits (that is money earned after the bills such as housing, food and clothing and education) is equally divided among the residents. Sometime they use the money for vacation trips...whatever they all agree on.
In a larger society it doesn't work as well.
I think that you may be confusing socialism with communism. Socialists advocate the creation of an egalitarian (equal) society, in which wealth and power are distributed more evenly...not entirely even, but more even.
Of course, we all know what capitalism and communism and socialism have in common - corruption. And that is the downfall of each.
