Yes, I am perfectly ok with talking about foods, I love to learn! My appetite is gone now, and the only time I crave something so far, is just a mental craving. I have been thinking a lot about the types of foods I will prepare for myself and family once my fast is over. I was watching food network last night on how to grill a tuna steak, lol. I swear, I never knew people eat them partially raw in the center?? Shows how much I know, lol. I also know if and when I ever eat tuna again, it will be albacore, and it will only be from the pouches.
On the wheat grass, I have never tried it. But I can say that I have spent so much money on things in the past, thinking it would help me in whatever area I was looking for help, to only find out after the fact, it was all hype. I have learned to read and investigate on my own now BEFORE spending money on something. Yes, live and learn... for sure!
I actually like mandarins much more, or sweet clemetines (are they the same?)
All other fruits are all a go for me, I love fruits! Especially cherries, grapes, kiwi, and bananas. Avocado... that's a vegetable or fruit? LOVE THEM! Apples, there is only one kind I really like, the Gala's. I like a softer apple personally. Oh, and I am a nut fanatic, especially almonds and macadamias. Don't even get me started on veggies :) although, I do not care for onions, or peppers, unless they are cooked into a meal. I do not like them raw.
I actually did have issues with over eating for years. With my highest weight topping 265 pounds. A lot of family history goes into that, another story another time.
But I agree 100% once we start to feed our body nutritious foods, and treat it with respect, it will in turn treat us much better. In the last year I have made a complete turn around with the way I eat. Basically a pescatarian, all fruits and veggies, fish and other seafood's, and foul. No red meats at all, cut out
Sugar (real and artificial) and "whites" like white flour and white pasta and white potatoes. I adore fresh spinach salads, and I do still eat dairy, but trying to limit that. I have never drank milk straight though, only within cooking.
My goal is to be at least 80% raw in the near future, to delete processed foods from my diet all together. I want the best for myself, and I commend anyone else trying to do the same. It's of course not something we can change over night, but it is a goal we can work on. For people who have lived their entire lives eating the typical American diet... there is a lot to learn, and a lot to change. Not only from the outside, but within our minds as well. I'm still working on that myself, and this fast is truly helping me start to see the light in some of my old ways. I look forward to my future and to continued fasts.
