I would like to add my experience to the wealth of info here.
I decided to start taking
Iodine even though I had not been eating good food, had not been cleansing, and still had
Amalgam fillings in my teeth. I wanted to be eating good food, I wanted to be mrs healthy, but I just couldn’t control myself. I took some encouragement from the posts and links that said when we do not get all the essential nutrients our bodies need we keep seeking them, keep eating. If I had to wait until I got my act together I may never get to take iodine.
So I started with
Lugols 5% for 1 week, building up to 4 drops a day. I also took the companion nutrients. Nothing too bad happened. Then I got the Iodoral pills and took 4 a day. I just finished my first bottle of those. I guess that makes it about a month and a half. I have noticed 3 benefits.
1. I have a bit more energy. I know that what I eat is a factor here. But I do feel better.
2. There have been a couple of times when I actually stopped eating while I still had food on my plate. I felt like I had had enough. (ok, for me that’s amazing!)
Those 2 things may be attributed to the selenium, who can say. But the 3rd benefit is definitely iodine: I got the new “girls” I have read about.
I was never diagnosed with fbd but I definitely had the lumps. I just thought that was what breast tissue felt like. I can’t say how I first noticed it but suddenly I am aware the lumps are gone. I keep checking myself because I feel so different, and I want to make sure I didn’t just imagine it. I really like this!
So, just to say, even if you don’t do everything right,
Iodine is essential for good health and now is a good time to start. Read up on it and be wise but don’t be afraid. Thanks to all here who encourage the rest of us.
