Tomorrow is our second Women’s Conference Call at 8:00p.m., Eastern Standard Time. It’s free if calling from the
It is going to be a ‘casual’ call in which we hope everyone brings questions and concerns about everyday issues that we women face in our lives, especially those most challenged by body odor, whether it be in the home, work, relationships, children, etc. As we try to do on all conference calls, we invite everyone to participate, and this time, we will place greater emphasis on asking throughout the call if anyone who have never spoken before wishes to ask a question or share something with us, so that we may get to know each other better. Please remember to speak up since in a conference call, it is not always possible for others to hear you very well. There is so much we share in common and so much we can contribute to each other (sometimes giving and sometimes receiving) that I look forward to hearing from everyone. However, feel free to listen in as well if that is your preference.
Here is an excerpt of a post I wrote in my blog about our Women's Conference Call last night. http://mpdela.blogspot.com/2008/08/our-womens-conference-call-tonight.html
Then another voice spoke out, “How do you get to the next stage?” one answered, “I’m in the anger stage, the 'Why me?' stage” Another replied, “We need to take control of our lives by setting boundaries and limits and being selective with who we push away and who we let inside. Sometimes in our quest for refuge into isolation, we end up pushing away those who want to give us the love and support we so desperately need.”
We all left this call knowing that it was just the beginning of a journey we will pursue together to get to the next stage, and the next, and the next. We walked away knowing that a tiny seed was planted in each of us that will grow as we continue to nurture it together, just as we nurture our children and cultivate our homes.
Those of us who attended found it to be very profound, intimate, and healing. We hope you ladies join us for the next one to be held on August 27th.
