They don't research it properly and make a lot of it up.
Look at the studies on teeth whitening not newpaper article.
I quoted one of these and there are several more on whitening.
It's not the same thing as mouthwash

Where are these people? What were they using. I already said not to brush with
it. but the study I quoted said it was no worse than drinking orange juice several times a day. I suggested they try it unactivated first. I seems to depend on how much acid is in it rather than chlorine dioxide but since noone is using chlorine dioxide alone it's hard to tell. This is a reply to # 1,228,608Thats interesting perhaps Bruce can answer that. I don't think the Miracle-Mineral-Supplement solution used for teeth is anywhere near that acidity. Bruce said himself ClO2 is not itself acidic. You can't trust this site they are probably pushing their own product.
I don't know that much about the dental use of it but I have read studies that indicate ASC is the worst of several whiteners and carbamide peroxide was the best
causing no significant effect on enamel and it is a bleach and an oxidizer but not acidified- Re: MMS and Teeth, Real Answer #68716

There are several other studies related to this and there is one on mouthwash that I posted on the support forum. I don't know as yet how much the Miracle-Mineral-Supplement use for dental problems affect enamel hardness but saying it strips enamel or eats enamel is not justified from what I've seen. Also I've heard no one say that using Miracle-Mineral-Supplement in this way blackened their teeth or obviously damaged enamel. I don't know about other chlorine dioxide products. No one is using it as a whitener as far as I know which requires much longer contact. This story about it blackening teeth related to a treatment using chlorine dioxide and a strong dental acid as well as far as I remember. ?Advertisement

thousands of companies use ClO2 in tooth paste, as a whitener etc.
The mouth wash is never activated!
I suppose your not aware that allot of companies use NacLo2 as their antimicrobial fluid for contacts as well

O.K, Ill answer it,
the same reason that ClO2 is used in the pulp paper industry (the biggest use of ClO2 in the world), it's bleaching properties, they use a teeth tray with NaClO2 and phosphoric as the activator and put in the mouth for 3 to 4 minutes daily.
The other way is a ClO2 gel and they use a lazer light to activate the NaClO2
But I quote, the strength is equal to 1 drop of activated Miracle-Mineral-Supplement .

owns a dental supply Co.
My company supplies products in the industry, including chair water treatments with ClO2, so my information has nothing to do with headers, it has to do with industry experience and knowledge, something you don't have!

3 to 5 mins obviously is Humbles recommendation and it works fine for me and it makes sense also. Beside you are talking about a different srength NaClO2 solution
and different acids
