This simple guide implies that the Political Method makes use of copious amounts of new-science science as necessary in accounting for what the old method of actual, legitimate, bona fide science was once used for. Just out of view is frame 3. It includes a contains the caption of the authority character instructing the obedient character on what they are to know: "never mind that, the official explanation will dispose of that as necessary". Frame 3 depicts the obedient character on the brink of accidentally tripping over a glaring, massive, fuming pile of evidence that does not support the mandated conclusion. Frame 3 masterfully captures in simple black, white and shades therein, the obedient's condition of distress and confusion over all of this...... the elephant in the living room that nobody was supposed to notice and how somebody who made the mistake of noticing was subsequently instructed on how to forget, as it were.

In recent memory there are numerous specimen examples of official explanations that did exactly what they were intended to do; dispose of evidence that did not support the official conclusions they were directed to reach.
