even so, $ 140 is a lot less hassle than the alternatives.
Like, when I pay for a car wash, I don't mind paying the money. What's funny is seeing people lined up at the carwash, waiting 1/2 an hour to pay to have their car washed, they're paying with their time and their money.
I like to go to the autowash at night, no waiting.
Same with the MD office. Sit there and wait, then wait some more, fill out paperwork, wait, go home, come back, get a test, wait, get sent home, yadayadayada

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,223,726I fired my "health insurance" too. Not that I can't afford it, but because I adjudge it to be a RIPOFF.
If the insurance company can take my $ 300 a month payment and be profitable, then I can keep my $ 300 a month payment and be profitable too. I've saved thousands of $$ and feel great. Someday, I'll get sick and die, like everyone else, or maybe a sudden accident. Big deal.
"Health-Care" system is for pussies who don't know how to eat right, and who are easily frightened into believing they can't trust god to take care of them.
I do have disability insurance though.

This is a reply to # 1,223,737When I moved to the alt med world for my own care, I did it full force. I will only use the allopathic world for physical (broken body parts) problems. So, I found insurance for less the $200/mo.

Can I ask which carrier provides your coverage? Is it the so-called "catastrophic" policy? Haven't gone through all the motions on the site to see what's available. Did you or can one simply just go to an individual company and get a comparable quote or do you think $200/mo was a deal specific to this site/an established via online kind of thing?

This is a reply to # 1,223,773Hi cora. I'm using Blue Cross / Blue Shield of Texas. Just a regular policy with a high deductible to make payments more reasonable.
I used that site just so that I would not have to contact so many insurance companies and try to make a decision. The site does not charge anything. I suspect the insurance companies pay them some fee for directing sales their way. Occasionally they will email me to ask if I am still satisfied and would I like dental insurance. I'm sure they like turnover; so they can continue to be paid by the wealthy insurance companies.- Re: j and v cora

This is a reply to # 1,223,705I'm sorry I veered away from the original subject. That seems to be my nature recently.
Lane Labs has a product developed from this bog apple, alias devil's apple. It is weakened from the original; because the FDA raided them (literally) and made them remove it from their shelves and warehouses. This is because they claimed cure. No different a claim from black salve. Of course this product is not as scarring as black salve can be. I still have the original after over 10 years. I use it occasionally. It is still strong enough to be of value.
