Any complications with fasting usually occur after the three day mark. Now if you are working out and sweating hard (something its advised against with water fasting) you could experience problems that day. So its safest to not do that.
I agree to have a pinch of salt on day 2 or 3. You will feel this instant zap letting you know that you needed it. It kinda awakens you if that describes it well enough.
Symptoms of electrolyte imbalance are: rapid heartbeat, confusion, swelling
The way I personally tell the difference between a detox wave feeling and an electorlyte needs feeling:
- detox feeling - a glass of water makes me feel better
- electrolyte feeling - a glass of water makes me feel worse and more "washed out" + adding a pinch of salt zaps me to a recovered feeling.
