Okay - here goes. Some of you might recall my post in which I took liberty to indulge everyone in my own personal Iodine (Lugols formula) breakthrough. Had lost a good deal of weight to the point of near emaciation due to a physical (and perhaps psychological) meltdown which really came on like a batoutahell about three years ago now. I had supplemented with nearly everything, worked out diet issues, alternative approaches galore (diet wasn't hard, was always good on that front - when I could eat, that is) - but lost my period just as I had when I'd become anorexic as a teenager, in college. This went on (loss of cycle) for over a year prior to finding all you wonderful folk.
One of my earliest posts on this forum (shall I say the "old" Iodine Forum) relayed that suddenly after less than a week of embarking on the whole I-o protocol (included selenium, v-C, et al - but never did any so called salt pushes) I regained my period virtually overnight. I maintained a clockwork cycle (femme variety) for well over a year.
Fast forward. Pushed it probably too far with additional approaches toward recovery (periods returned, but the person I once was, my otherwise physical health, had not) and at the same time cut back on the Lugols dramatically and somewhat unintentionally. (For a good spell I was ingesting at least 200 - 300 mg a day) Eventually, the whole Iodine regimen walked off with the poolboy, and I would only occasionally remember to add my Lugols to my coffee. At this time I again lost another 15 or so lbs (down to 82lbs).
I left Florida for the summer, and placed a few orders with Jeff - deciding I needed to at least get back to where I was. Interestingly and coincidentally, I also discovered a new little food combo which was easy for me to eat: chopped granny smiths, dried cranberries, cut celery, cut radishes, yogurt, curry powder, and....brazil nuts. All mixed together. V-liscious. Try it.
Back at approx 200 mgs of Lugols in my java (along with that good ole IP6) for about two weeks and BOOM.
This one goes out most particularly to Batgirl, T, V, In-love, jfh, 0, and N - and all those who turned on the lights. To you ALL. Eternally grateful for each and every tidbit you've discovered and shared.
On the Iodine front, I THOUGHT that I was done, and took a coupla months off of everything. Then I started thinking that maybe I was not done. No signs of FBD(cyclical pain, swelling), but I still had an area of what I thought was scar tissue. In all my reading, it was my understanding that scar tissue will never resolve...
So, anyway, I started taking I again. The break was good, and effective. I'm having pain, and electrical feelings. That area is swelling, so I know that yet another cystic area is breaking down. One day my breast was actually pulsating, very strange(and not unpleasant) feeling.
Layers to this FBD. I'm on layer #3 now.
I totally understand why I fell by the wayside, for you. It's tiresome, paying attention to all the danged supplements. And it gets boring...want a new kick:)
Personal front, canoeing and picking cherries. Dancing around the mulberry bush. Life is good!
yep, I just stopped, didn't even do a maintenance dose. pulsing the dose, in a huge way, I guess.
I've paused several times, this was the longest.
It helped, immensely:)
Sorry to hear you might have had to endure a little setback - but my guess is that it's all part of some plan, and it really wasn't a setback. Herring's Law, etc. You are being guided - we all are. I think it then just boils down to interpretation of the signs, signals, indications - what they actually represent.
On a lighter note - forgot to mention above: the girls are coming back too.
wasn't a setback, just part of the journey. Pausing did me good:)
judging from that pic, you might want to cut back a bit... ??
or invest in clothing with major support. I'm thinking steel girders:)
You're welcome to pico mi gallo aneee-time, mon amour. Now, can we switch out that avatar before one of us gals gets hurt in the VWT string bikini mudpit.
Consider putting "Experience Real Tex-Mex Cuisine" on your list of "Things to do Before I Die". While you've got your pen out, also put a capital V on the list.
