read them both.
"
Seborrhea is an inherited condition that affects the rate of production of skin cells. For the many who think their problem is actually due to “dryness”, visible flaking is really due to a buildup of proliferating cells that have nowhere to go. This is why all the moisturizer in the world won’t help resolve
Seborrheic Dermatitis "
This is so you know that the overgrowing skin is a buildup of proliferating cells. In our case this is quite intense.
"
Seborrheic Dermatitis appears on sebum-rich areas of the scalp, face, and trunk. Sebum production begins at puberty, triggered by circulating DHT (the activated testosterone metabolite). Lipid rich sebum nourishes normal skin yeast, Pityrosporum ovale. Flourishing numbers of yeast produce lipase, an enzyme used to break down sebum into digestible free fatty acids (FFA). Unfortunately, FFAs are irritating to the skin resulting in inflammation - hence the itch, scratch cycle. "
If you read through the triggers of this, its;
-Seasonal Changes
-Illness and Infection
-Stress
-Hormonal Swings
-Neurological Conditions
-HIV Infection
-Medication
what i've concluded is
more DHT = more sebum = more skin yeast = more lipase = (lipase= free fatty acids) = FFA = inflammation
and i've already explained how estrogen causes the overgrowing skin, now here is more proof.
Stopping DHT is the most logical thing to do to prevent the route to inflammation. I googled how to stop DHT and i was giving the second link above.
"Contrary to popular myth, DHT is not caused by overproduction of testosterone, it is caused by overproduction of estrogen. "
It also mentioned Estrogen dominance, what i have also mentioned.
Now... here is the funny part. Progesterone increases DHT. DHT is caused by estrogen dominance. Progesterone reduces Estrogen Dominance.
LOL
So just to understand whats going on in my head
Progesterone increases DHT > This causes inflammation > this causes cortisol > this causes increase in estrogen/estrogen dominance> estrogen dominance is the cause of DHT > Progesterone reduces Estrogen dominance > Progesterone increases DHT...etc
A CYCLE.
I'm sure i have a big shopping list of things to buy because of these twists. I really hope you understand... I've learned to be patient through all of this, if i was younger and melatonin didn't work i would probably scrap the whole theory... i'm glad i didn't.
I will look how to resolve this later...now that progesterone is a gift and curse to this situation.
Peace.
