Hi ny26 , when i had the mirena removed my  hair fell out like crazy and then it settled down around 3 months post removal and its been good ever since

I had the exact same thing happen. I started bleeding a few hours after removal and it lasted about 5 days (how long my periods were pre Mirena) but it was mostly the light brownish "Mirena period/spotting." Sorry if TMI. I have not had a period since. Its been over a month now since it ended but I just figure its my body getting back on track. I have also been losing a lot of hair. Like one of the previous posters said I didnt have hair loss after my pregnancy and did not experience any hair loss while I had the Mirena. My hair remained extra thick while the Mirena was in. I just think everything is getting back to normal. Good luck though. I hope this makes you feel better.
