Hi,
I was wondering if anyone here has heard of or had exerience with,
a German supplement by the name of SanPharma. It is termed an "isopathic" and
used after a course of DMSA to chelate heavy metals, to rebuild the gut and
the immune system after poisoning from heavy metals. Quoting from an article
my doctor wrote on the subject, "The proper use of this procotol restores
the immune system to full functioning by provocation. The system is provoked
to respond with key compounds made by dysbiotic organisms. The result is
an immune system in sync with the environment in which it was designed to live."
"...isopathic refers to the natre of these potent medicines. They are made of
specific compounds derived from dysbiotic bacteria, fungi, and yeast
organisms, the very organisms which are damaging to human health and which
tend to grow in the gut. These compounds have been found to train the immune
system to eliminate these organisms." The problem I have with the suggested
course of treatment is the price. These supplements, imported from Germany,
are not well known in the U.S.--they were just approved by the FDA in 2000--
but have been used for 30 years supposedly in Germany. It is an 11-week
program (post the 3 to 8 month period of chelation using DMSA) and costs
$2633 up front. I have been trying to find out why the high cost of this
protocol and am being told that the manufacturer can charge whatever it
wants for its products. I would be most appreciative if anyone here has
heard anything, pro or con, and especially interested to hear about
anything related to the cost.
Thanks in advance. (Incidentally I posted on the Andy Cutler chelation
site, but as that is not a very active site, no one has yet responded.)
