Ah, that's very modest Chris :-)
I think some people may be stronger than others in some areas of knowledge, and others may state things in a different way. The good thing is everyone here is acting like a team, so it all adds up.
I have often seen posts here where I think "I haven't got a clue what the answer is to that!", then someone in the shadows comes up with about half a dozen detailed paragraphs relating to that very issue, simply because that is exactly the problem they had.
The only thing I have learned from past experience is not to overstate your knowledge on the subject, and if quoting others try and give links or references, as you do Chris.
People can still give advice if they are not experts by quoting their own experiences, just make it clear it is personal experience and not the b all and end all. And if you think you know something, just say you think, and ask others to back you up.
Do people agree? Any other tips or opinions?
Oh and by the way if you and Fonty or anyone else here who contributes wants some PC help, and provided you can still get online, go and download the program from
http://www.crossloop.com
and email me. If you don't mind me accessing your screen while you watch, I can probably help. Have used this to fix many a friend's PC problems, such as firewall issues, antivirus installation and so on. You can also use the program with your own obliging friends or relatives. Fonty, if ever you want to know how to do those links... I will just have to turn my screen upside down when working with you.
