Hi. I have come across some information which I am passing on to this list. If it is interesting and inspires hope, if you find it logical and reasonable, then great. If not, that's fine too.

Much healing, help, and advice is available to human beings at this time in history, from a (basically) unknown source. There exist in the world a group of evolved and enlightened beings called the Masters of Wisdom. They are human beings like us, who have progressed and evolved, life after life, to the point where they no longer have anything to learn from earth experience. They remain on the planet as the "inner spiritual government" of the world, teaching, inpsiring, and constantly working to offset the evils in the world. At this point in time, never has their help and advice been more needed.

Consider:
over 20,000 people, mainly children die from poverty related causes every day.
Over 1 billion subsist on a dollar a day, and do not have adequate food, sanitation or medical care.
Fear of war and Terrorism (caused by inequality) increasingly affects the lives of people in the developing world.
Over the last fifty years, the wealthiest have gotten precipitously more wealthy, while the poorest have gotten poorer.

These factors, and the astrological fact of the beginning of the age of Aquarius has prompted the (early) emergence of the Master of the Masters, named Maitreya.
Maitreya is not a religious leader, nor does he seek followers. He aims to galvanize us into action, to save the tens of thousands that starve every day from want of food and medical attention that the West could easily offer. Reasonably shortly, Maitreya will appear publicly (at first on television), and begin advocating for a world wide program of Sharing, instituted by humanity itself. Unless the human race begins living according to its most sacred beliefs, Maitreya might say, it is doomed.

Gradually, the public will recognize his love, his simplicity and see in him the fufillment of their hopes and dreams. Maitreya is in fact expected by all of the world's religious traditions under different names. Christians await Christ, the Muslims expect the Imam Madhi, and Buddhists are awating Maitreya Buddha. However, He has not come to create a new "ism" or a religion, but encourages us to develop within our own religious traditions.

The inevitable speculation and doubt about Maitreya's identity will be alleviated on an event called the "Day of Declaration" when Maitreya will be invited to speak to the entire human race. He will do so by appearing on TV, but his lips will not move. Every human being 14 or older will hear him in their own language. He will declare his name and purpose, show the height from which human beings have fallen, and indicate our potentially bright future. If we begin doing what our hearts tell us is right, if we begin to Share, we can expect the future to be exceedingly bright. If not, in Maitreya's words: "..only darkness lies ahead". After the Day of Declaration, other Masters will come forward, and aid us in the task of creating a saner, more egalitarian, and more advanced civilization.

On another note, Maitreya also gives to humanity teaching and healing of an extraordinary kind. The "handprint" of Maitreya, a three dimensional image much like the Turin Shroud, offers a way to connect with Maitreya, and recieve whatever healing is possible within Karmic law.
