Ok so I am an acute CNA and will be finishing up my LVN program for school. I am debating for RN (like my mom) but I really have a hobby for beauty and skin care. I want to start a skin care line using natural. supple and non-irritating ingredients which means chemical-free for all skin types and acne-prone to dry skin. I have been whipping up things here and there and came up with a face wash/body scrub and moisterizer and have my int. family using it.
Do I need FDA approval if I want to take it to stores for use?
What about an publisher or an Agent to represent me?
I would like to have my skin care on QVC or something or big as Avon/Mary Kay companies...

This is a reply to # 1,170,150I am almost positive that you do NOT need FDA approval for this. If anything, you may have to include something like "These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA" somewhere on the label.

This is a reply to # 1,170,153Thanks alot. I have been researching on the internet and books and confused because I read that you do because its tested on skin but then I also read that you dont.
I am young and always wanted to have a business of my own. No offense to nurses and docters out there but I really wont be satsified as an RN and sometimes I wish I went to college to be a nutritionist or a dermatologist....Lol
What about a publisher or an agent?
Someone told me to sell my stuff on E-bay but I'm a bit skeptical.

I already am starting to work on this project. I am in the process of building a website and a myspace link. I talked to my father and he mentioned that I need a trademark and copywritten and etc.before posting on E-bay. So Im so excited and curious on why i never thought upon this sooner.
