yes this happens to many women. i was depressed/suicidal for the 3 1/2 years i had mirena. i had about every symptom everyone has mentioned. if you click on my name you can read my posts before and after mirena. Now i am doing so much better. i love life most of the time now.

I suffered from severe anxiety and Depression the most, other symptoms of nervousness, feeling overwhelmed, nausea. These are normal side effects from the mirena. I am glad you are getting it removed the quicker you get it out the qiucker you will be on your way to recovering!

I am glad you are getting mirena removed. When I called, the receptionist scheduled an appointment few weeks out. I then called again the next day and asked if there were any cancellations, so I could come in earlier. They had a cancellation and I got it out earlier. Just wanted to suggest to call and see if you can get an earlier appointment as the receptionist wouldn't know that this is urgent. Good luck. You are not alone.

THANKS Guys! I happened to call again today to see if anything opened. Thank God, I will be going in tomorrow to get a real exam and removal of this nightmare! I cannot wait to be somewahat normal again!!! My Doctor will now most likely put me on all types of medications now because of the infections with the device!!!! Thank you all for your support. You have no idea how much it means to me.

Yes, do call everyday to see if you can get in early. I had to switch dr. and go to someone completely new. He asked me why! I told him I am going crazy, and have been diagnosed with a disease I refuse to except, and this is the only dam thing I have not elminated. He looked at me, just has crazy as I felt. He didn't ask anymore questions either. I don't think most dr. know how the M has destroyed so many lives.

I promise you will feel better in minutes after the M is removed. It is almost unbelievable the immediate difference you feel. I felt like I was really crazy....I couldn't believe it. I kept on questioning the feeling. I challenged myself to do things, like cross my legs, sit indian style, wear cute shoes, you name it. I was to dam happy...I told people I didn't even know they would just like at me in auh.......I told everyone and those who knew me well, knew I was crippled for four years by the Mirena. I am me again 3 months removal and counting oh, and 16 pounds lighter too. And A 100% happy!!! :)

Just something so great! I had read a post and a woman actually went in her bathroom and took it out herself. Go girl! althouh, I wouldn't recommend that :) !!! OH, and my cousin had two fall out maybe you'll get lucky!
