I am a 35 y/o mother of 2. I have been trying to determine what to do about some symptoms I'm having. I have been dealing w/some health issues for several years now. I am improving, but I'm still dealing with some of my symptoms (mild adrenal fatigue, sinus issues and lower GI problems). One thing I have noticed is that part of the month, every month, I feel better. It is always between 5 days to a week after my period (during ovulation?).
During this time, my overall wellbeing is improved - my mood is better, my mind is clearer, I have more energy and motivation, I actually have a sex drive, and I even have better bowel movements! This lasts until a few days before my period when I begin to have basic PMS symptoms. Then around the 4th day of my period I become irritable, have brain fog, headaches, cramps, fatigue, lack of motivation and an increase in GI symptoms.
Then this "cycle" starts all over again.
Among my other supplements, I am taking calcium, magnesium and a women's herbal supplement called Femtrol which has helped. The herbal supplement helped w/the hot flashes I was having (I am too young for hot flashes!). The magnesium helped w/the headaches, cramps and heart palpitations. But I would love to know what I could do to feel good all month long.
My adrenal function has improved, but I'm wondering if that may be part of my problem still. I also think I must have some hormonal imbalances. But with all the research I've done I can't pin down what the problem is. I can't afford to go to a doctor right now, and I would rather treat this naturally if possible. I thought maybe some of you knowledgable folks here might have some ideas for me.
Thanks so much for reading all of this!
