bella lucia,
Whether you need to end your fast, will depend on the extent of your weakness. Persistent and extreme weakness can be a dangerous complication.
I do not wish to be alarmist here, but we need to err on the safe side.
Dr
Shelton comments...........
"Great Weakness: This is not always a danger signal; but may be in some cases. Although it usually causes the practitioner to terminate the fast, this is due more to fear on his part than to any actual danger to the patient. Persistent extreme weakness is more likely to prove a danger signal, although this is so rare that I have seen but ONE such case.
A very rapid pulse or a very low, feeble pulse is usually considered a danger sign. This is certainly not always so. I have frequently continued fasts with a very rapid pulse, and I have continued others when the pulse was so low that one could hardly count it. All such symptoms must be considered in relation to the general condition of the patient and not in isolation."
My own advice would be to continue with your fast for up to another two or three days, and if you still feel extremely weak (or are becoming even more prostrate) after this time, then it would probably be advisable to break it on fresh juices.
It is also NOT advisable to attend this hatha yoga class in your present condition, which could exacerbate your problems.
To my mind, it sounds as if you may need to undergo a juice diet first, and follow an
Elimination Diet for some period of time before contemplating another water fast, if the above case scenario proves to be correct.
Warm Regards
Chris.
