Hi,
Does anyone know how I can raise my total cholesterol levels? My total cholesterol levels have be below normal @ 126mg/dl since having my blood tested in '99 and again in '04.
I've gone to the doctor with extream fatigue amongst many other symptoms many times. Yet the doctors keeps telling me that I'm "healthy" despite my complaints and my abnormally low cholesterol levels and high serum iron(@ 178mcg/dl in '99 and 157 mcg/dl in '04, 160mg/dl being the maximum "normal" level) along with protein urea(foamy urine) since '96-'97. I've been tested for Hep. A, B, and C and I'm not infected with any of these. The only kind of treatment the doctors have been able offer me was anti-depressive drugs. I refuse to take drugs that do nothing for my actual problems.
I've been experienceing symptoms of chronic fatugue syndrome since I was 18-19yo(just turned 30 this month). While going to doctors gets no answers, diagnosis or treatment besides always returning with a script for some kind of anti-depressive drug each time. I think perhaps my situation is such an medical anomaly that the docs are unwilling to try to figure out what is actually wrong with me. It would take to much work. There was one doc that was willing to recognise my symptoms as "real" and not just "phycological" manifistations, but even he was only able offer antidepressive drugs as treatment or do more tests that will only come back inconclusive. Plus, he has a policy of only seeing patients that have med insurance which I no longer have. So my only real option now is to treat myself with suppliments and using altenative methods as I can't afford to see a ND or similar doc.
Since my low cholesterol and high serum iron have been the only real abnormalities that blood tests were able to detect(liver problems). I believe bringing these numbers to "normal" levels can only help with my symptoms, though I think these numbers are actually only symptoms not causes.
Besides the obvious liver problem I have, I've been treating myself for adrenal fatigue (monitering my postural hypotention or the lowering of blood pressure when I stand up)and chronically low body temps of -97.5(thyroid) with adrenal and thyroid glandular suppliments and various vitamins. This has helped me to an extent, but it's not enough to releve my chronic fatigue. I've also done one
Liver Flush last weekend using the "classic coke" recepe with
Epsom Salt drink.
Has anyone been able to raise a low cholesterol with
Liver Flush or other methods? Any suggestions or insight would be much appreciated. Thanks.
