When I first looked she was going clockwise (I am left-handed, therefore right-brained), then after I read the lists of functions I looked again and she was going counter clockwise!!!!

It was short lived though, because I can't see it counter clockwise anymore!

this things is pretty weird.
i mostly see it going clockwise but once in a while ill see it going counter clockwise, but i cant control it.

i was starting to wonder it if was the image changing by itself but i sat here with a coworker and i started seing it going counter but she still saw it going clockwise.

I've seen this before, White Tiger, though I forgot which was which...so just now I took a quick look...

She was going clockwise for about half a turn, then anti-clockwise...then I quickly turned away.

Maybe I'm losing my marbles!

She is changing the directions!
Thats obvious (...to me...) , - just follow what leg she is standing on...

She always moves towards her outer part, of the leg "in the air".
Left foot off the floor, she is turning anti-clockwise.
Right foot off the floor, she is turning clockwise, and it switches randomly.
What is funny is, that some cant see her switching, and automaticly put her in the dancing position they first saw her, no matter how many times she changes direction.

Weird! I can see it both ways, depends on how I imagined her facing when she started. I dont understand how though, because when I immediately looked at it I was like, well she is turning counter clockwise, how could it be any other way? Then I made myself think about it a lot and it seemed like it could be clockwise too. It hurt my brain!

Edit. also, I have almost none of the qualities supposedly associated with seeing her going counter clockwise.

The first two times I opened the post it was turning counter clockwiese the whole time. Now (the third time) it is spinning clockwise right from the get go. It has nothing to do with my brain. It is all in the code of the program that is running it.

I don't see how she could POSSIBLY be turning any direction but clockwise. She is clearly, consistently turning clockwise.

Then again, I am strongly a right-brain person (even though I have some left-brain traits as well) AND I just finished playing the piano and singing classical music so...

This is similar to those jumbled 3D computer generated pictures you see in malls at times.

Next time you see those, move to each rendering and learn to defocus your eyes and bring the 3D effect into focus within a few seconds. Great exercise.

This is a great exercise in "tripping" your mental state.

For those having troubles you can use an old forgers trick.

Have the gif spinning on your tube.

Bring up Washington's face on a dollar bill under it next to the screen.

Focus on the bill while being aware of the spinning girl with your peripheral vision.

Doing this will trigger some people.

If it doesn't, flip the bill over so the reverse side is upside down.

This forces it to become unfamiliar to the right brain and forces the right side to kick over to the left side for analysis.

Forgers used this technique to force themselves into spacial mode to review their handiwork.
