Hello Dr. Sutter:
I am a Chronic Lyme sufferer so I take Antibiotics and many supplements long term. In the summer I will probably begin an herbal program to take a break from ABX (long story had Lyme for 30 years just diagnosed Feb 2006 - need long term treamtnet)
I am on my second round of Humaworm - done 90 days apart. I passed a couple of Liver Flukes on day 9 of my first cleanse but haven't "seen" anything this time but I was very ill for about 8 days with what felt like my typical Lyme die off (or Herxheimer reaction). This "die off" was more intense than what I've experienced in months and months.
A week prior to my second parasite cleanse I did my first Liver Flush. It was very tough on me and I was very sick for a day or two.
I read (somewhere!) that you recommend a more "gentle" flush but that you can't take any meds while doing it.
Was wondering what you would recommend for me as far as a parasite cleanse and liver cleanse/flush. I think I have liver stones - I didn't use a colendar so I don't know how many stones I passed but I did pass hundreds of the little green things as well as larger light brown ones (soft). When I had my gallbladder removed 10 years ago I was full of stones of all sizes - so I figure between the flukes and gallstones I must have stones in my liver. I also have mild pain in my liver from time to time. I take Liver Support (formerly Liv 52 by Himalaya) and despite taking many meds for two years, my liver enzymes have always been good,
Also, I feel like I still have a Liver Fluke problem - could this possibly have been resolved with just one parasite cleanse? Doesn't seem likely.

has an excellent protocol for the lyme disease parasite. It's a high salt regime that resolves the parasite issue.
Humaworm is also excellent at getting to the lyme parasite. However I don't agree with the 90 day in between period for doing his antiparasite products. I would like to hear from him personally for that explanation. I know he's a very smart man and a very busy man but it just doesn't make any sense. Having studied entimology and bacteriology and the "resistance" factor that develops the 90 day in between doesn't fly. Soooooo....
If you did a flush without being on the antiparasite products it will make you very sick. The parasites must be on their way to gone BEFORE a liver flush is attempted. Matter of fact, if you do a flush and it makes you very sick it's a sure sign you have parasites in your liver. That's right out of Clarks original book "The Cure for all Cancer".
I don't understand the purpose of the drugs. Antibiotics won't touch the parasite and will ruin your digestion in the process. If you aren't sick from the parasites you're sure to get sick from the antibiotics.
As far as long term treatment, it shouldn't take you any longer than it takes anyone else to eliminate the parasites. One thing for sure the drugs can't fix anything.
Drugs and Natural Healing don't mix. Natural healing is attempting to clean your body out while the drugs continue to poison your system. The drugs win. Can't have it both ways. Many have tried - it doesn't work.
So the first thing on the agenda is to get off the meds. Get some good probiotics from the healthfood store and take them for a month or two. (The refrigerated kind)
Next, get some of Barefoots DeWormer and take that in between Humaworms antiparasite products. Once you start killing the parasites DON'T STOP. That means the next 90 days you take the DeWormer everyday and the next year on maintenance which is every third day.
Supplaments: If you're taking synthetic vitamins toss them. Synthetics are drugs also.
You're on the right path you just have to get rid of the drugs, put the good germs back in your colon, stay on the antiparasite products continuously and flush the liver every two weeks or so. You can do that....

I guess you could call the Lyme Spirochette a parasite but it's actually a bacterial infection much similar to Syphillus. (some of the "co-infections" are parsites like Babesosis - similar to malaria and is a tick borne infection) It has a corkscrew shape and quickly burrows into all areas and organs of the body. If treated early it is curable. If not caught immediately is goes in to a "Late Stage" or "Chronic Form" and the idea is to get the body into remission. I've had the disease for about 30 years (undiagnosed until 2006) so it is unlikely that this issue could be resolved as quickly as my parasite issue. The anti-biotics DO kill the germ and that's why Lymies have "die off" or herxheimer reactions. There are different ABX that kill the different forms of the Spriochette (it's a very tricky germ that can change forms very quickly)
I am being treated by a naturopath Dr. who has had the disease himself and his wife still has the disease. He is a wonderful man who has already helped me reslove my my heavy metals issues. I take only supplements approved by or recommended by him (never synthetic) including a LOT of probiotics.
We (the Lyme community in general and specifically my Dr. and I) are very open to "natural" approaches to healing Lyme. The Rife machine, herbal remedies and chelating are among those I am happy to try. The Vitamin C/Salt Protocol and The Marshall Protocol are on the bottom of my list. Of the hundreds of people I interact with in the Lyme community not one person has or knows anyone who has healed completely with these approaches. Some have used them in between periods of ABX with success. The only lady I know that's using the VitC/Salt protocol (for six months now) is still in her wheelchair.
I know of MANY people that are healed due to antibiotics. I HATE taking them and will be going to a straight herbal approach soon. Prior to his experience with Lyme I doubt my Dr. used prescrition drugs at all with his patients. With this disease it's the lesser of the evils.
