Here is how I make it...
1 cup plain yogurt, 1/2 cup powder milk & 1/2 gallon 2% milk
Heat milk till just below boiling (very important that it reaches this point)!!!!!!!!
Allow to cool to warm, stir dry milk with yogurt, then add to milk.
Put the yogurt into a NON-metal pan, I use my crook pot, its ceramic. Then place the yogurt in an undisturbed dark location that is well heated, such as near an electric heater or use a heating blanket to surround the yogurt pot. Give it about 9-10 hours, then pop it in the frige to chill! I make it before going to bed and its ready for morning (I serve it with sauteed cut apples & cinnimon).
Tip: allow the yogurt to sit out while you heat the yogurt so it will warm up a bit.
Serve with fresh ground flax seed, wheat germ & fresh or frozen berries, bananas or sauteed apples & cinnimon (my favorite)
