Movement is what is required for lymph to move
and so unless you are bed-ridden or sedentary
to the point that you are rarely moving, you
would not expect to have lymph-congestion. I
know one of my cousins used to regularly go to
get lymph massage for her knees since she was
in pain and would not move around a lot due to
it and that was causing congestion and for her
inflammation. She saw much improvement from
the lymph massage, but personally, never having
lymph congestion, I have always geared my
expectations to the high end of lymph movement,
being someone who loved to rebound and jump rope
when young and swimming, bike-riding, cross-
country skiing etc. Well, after tearing my
miniscus and deciding to avoid surgery and did
just barely, I do not move as much as I did and
my chiropractor assures me my running days are
over, but especially during the period when I
was recuperating from my car wreck, I found the
help of an inversion table and then the bounce
chair which is rebounding without any weight on
one's legs, helped move my lymph. I felt/feel
so much better that I know there are lists of
other benefits which I know you have already
researched and if not, I can drum up some reasons
for you to continue...ggg. The inversion table
has helped me function better also because of
the decompression. This is sort of an accumulative
effect too since you will notice over time that
after a long day of sitting or driving you can
hang and rock for twenty minutes and wowser, you
have pulled out any kinks in your spine and
allowed plenty of blood flow throughout your body
to bring you to a level of functioning you were
not in when you strapped your feet in. When in an
upside down position, I could wrap my arms around
me as if I were giving myself a hug and gently
twist and especially over time, my body became
much more limber and it was as if a self-adjustment.
My chiropractor fusses saying she does not see
me often enough but I told her I invert, and she
said, "Oh, that explains it. Inverting is great".
So, while I have never reached a level of function
that I can hold up side-by-side to feeling good
and say that makes a huge difference, I can say
it has helped me heal from my major incidents which
damaged my knees, neck, back and I feel it does
strengthen my muscles in those areas.
Oh heck, I'll drum up more than a few reasons for
you to fall in love with inversion~~
