This MSM report is so ripe with deception that a thinking person will need to reload a few times to get the job done right of shooting it full of holes. One implication is that a given soldier reported by way of broadcast news & information to be at the front lines of war battle is somehow, some way at more risk than, say, the same soldier allegedly already fighting at that same front of war battle.......maybe between London and the outlets of CBS, they just don't make front lines of battle the way they used to.
CBS News correspondent Mark Phillips reports the Ministry of Defense reached a deal with the world's major media organizations to keep Harry's deployment quiet, due to fears he'd be a "bullet magnet" for the Taliban, endangering him and his troops.

Anyone and everyone with an honest to God sincere desire to support our troops to the maximum logical conclusion of that sentiment is obligated to put to the test the words of our Mini Def released by way of our Mini Truth. Anyone and everyone genuinely motivated so is obligated to try holding these mini folks to their word just to see if it is worth the paper written on; Gordon Brown, BBC, CBS, et. al.
The logical conclusion to the notion of genuinely wanting to support one's troops will be reached when said troops, one by one - every one of them, is brought home safe and sound just like dear Harry. And just to give some credit to Harry, er um, cough cough, where, pray tell, has dear William been in all of this British Bravery; how about the Bush twins? Wait, that's right, the USA war machinery, British surrogate that it is, is comprised of voluntary cogs. How about that on the other side of the pond, the mother side? Are we to believe that Harry volunteered where as his elder did not? Harry at least deserves credit for having the royal wherewithal to find him self volunteered when big brother did not and therefor was not. For a seething Talibanian, twin magnets could double their pleasure; two, two, two magnets for bullets wrapped up into one minty elite flavor.
Supporters may want to thank Britain's Mini Def for providing the sterling role model & road map to the world of how simply this can be done; just arrange for Drudge or the like to leak every name of every supported trooper, then follow up with a secondary report wherein a few high up officers & managers of said troopers in the Mini Def / Mini War / Mini Truth are enraged at the previous leak making each and every single American (and other nationality) trooper more at risk than they were prior - a magnet for bullets.
Holders of power in the shadows of high offices, as well as the high offices and holders of offices they wield control over, from W to campaigners from Hillary through McCain and right on down the list of usual suspects throughout the entire realm of the collective U.S.G., have already been instructing the masses of consumers of controlled media leaks that this logical conclusion will be reached ever so slowly, gradually, painfully so for the supported as well as the supporters, on a schedule that might - operative word, reach it's conclusion as currently forecasted and or campagined over by sometime in the next century or later. Compare those forecasted results to what dear Harry is experiencing right this very moment!
Good stuff.
But senior officers feel the prince's life cannot be risked in a dangerous combat zone
Somebody show me or point me to where I can find one American or Brit or other nationality of mother or father or brother or sister or friend or loved one who does not feel the very same for their son or daughter or friend who is currently serving combat while located on, at, in, above or near the front of action across Afghanistan, Iraq and the Mid-East in general.
Again, thanks to our brethern Brits across the pond who have once again provided the world with a roadmap, first of how, and secondly - why, each and every soldiers should be brought home where they belong, where they are wanted, and where they are needed.... because their lives cannot be risked in a dangerous combat zone.
Alternatively, I am at least open minded enough to welcome and consider the comments or argument of anyone who believes that the life of a Harry is somehow more important than the lives of any one of (upwards to) 150,000 American soliders, plus (approximately) any one of 60,000 British soldiers plus the balance of "coalition" soldiers serving in the above mentioned theater. I've often heard / seen the notion put forth that in this world where all are created equal, there are those who consider themselves more equal than others. This alternative argument seems to be an argument in favor of that notion, so please, anyone wishing to debate that notion, by all means, please come here and do so.
