One of my favorite lines of BK was when the doctor told her that she would be totally blind and her husband (also a practitioner of the work) says, "that is wonderful...I have always wanted a dog!" (seeing eye dog....ha!)
She tells anyone with a major disability that they have been "spared"...and when they get it, it is magical to watch or read about.
BK has such an amazing acceptance of "what is" and nothing, I mean nothing, causes her to worry or act upset. I just love her and The Work.....along with all of these other wonderful energetic healing works like Abraham, Louise Hay, EFT...and the list of wonderfulness goes on and on!
Thank you for showing me the way to The Work!

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,120,520well -- there is more than one facet to any jewel, isn't there? And sometimes turning language upside down shakes out its pockets! It honestly seems to me that you do not want to hear others' input. I mean "hear" as in *letting in* -- a certain allowing of the new, which I think was one of the implications of Hay's. That's okay. I'm not blaming you for that -- just observing.
Everything has its moment. I'm sure you will accomplish what your heart desires.

no, no. These long threads can get confusing. My message was in reply to Ynaig's, which was in reply to my post about not "under standing", ... You can sometimes line up the black boxes in front of the post and measure what's a response to what, but it often isn't easy. But you post gives me a chance to clarify that I mean no criticism.
I also wanted to say to Ynaig: thank you for that book suggestion "relearning to see".
My vision is not quite as good as it once was, and I'd like to "correct that" (as Kam Yuen says)
yes, there's so much to choose from. I just caught the last of that Abraham-Hicks radio show--and noted it's on again later, for anyone interested. She/they always seem to speak precisely to freedom (from any limitations)which is what it's all about, in the end.

I can speak and lipread because that's what my parents wanted for me to have a better life than the one who uses sign language.
I have also a bachelor degree equivalent in Computer Science, but it hasn't got me a job in Canada. Yes, I'm not born Canadian, but I immigrated 10 years ago from Romania.

This is a reply to # 1,120,105Problem is that the job descriptions has changed quite a lot since 10 years ago and I have a 10 years gap in my resume, and of course you've missed some things that the present job requirements are: need to have advanced communications skills and able to talk on phone for when clients are calling for consultations as well I will never do well in group meetings or something like that. I experienced that beforehand and the recruitment agencies here hate me for wasting their time.

Well 7 years ago I made a big choice leading to a change of career. I wanted to be self employed working with energy healing (Reiki), but alas, I've run into obstacles. People wanted to make phone calls to me when I expressed explicitly in the business cards I've given out, that I prefered e-mail to the phone. So I had no clients in the end.
And no, I'm not interested anymore on doing computer stuff, it doesn't appeal to me anymore. Think of it as a change of clothing.

This is a reply to # 1,120,132In Romania, about 19 years ago or ao, someone told my parents about a bio-energy healer. I went for the sessions of healing with the healer to revive my hearing.
The sessions were done daily in the evenings for maximum 2 hours. On the 7th day, I arrived home from the visit for the daily session, I experienced a brief moment (1 to 5 seconds) when I was able to hear perfectly my own voice and the voice of my parents. I even understood what my parents were talking about (they were behind my back at that time).
However the sessions were taxing me too much that I developed a side effect, constant headache due to the perception of the background static noise similar to what you see on the tv when there's no signal (the old tv that shows static).
I had to stop doing the sessions cause the headache was interfering with the school and the studies. Sadly the healer left Romania back to his country.
That's my experience.

I tried two times to buy the book off the shopping site, and it's almost comical but I've not had success-and both times when I emailed to inquire about the order all I received is about two words.. order was bad. or: order bad was...

Well I don't have the manual. Your issue with ordering could be that they only accept european credit cards. From a glance, it is similar with quantum touch mixed with reflexology map of the brain.
My energy healing skills are developed by myself on my own. I had no prior education regarding any form of energy healing. I used my own intuition how to approach the healing.
Of course it's possible to stop struggling, but I'm at an impasse right now. That's why I started this thread.

This is a reply to # 1,120,161european credit cards?? hmm. that isn't clear at all from the site--in fact they make the point to assure the 'shopping cart' works, and then list all the usual cards as well as the languages of the book--and the order form *feels* like it works. You'd think they could respond via email to help you buy the book! Don't seem keen at all.
"at an impasse". yes, I understand. I didn't mean to sound dismissive with my "forget about the struggle"--was only pointing to the simple miracle that tells you you could hear (even for seconds only) perfectly--Therefore--it is possible, period.
You sound as though it's quite fine for you to be where you are right now--I mean: what if it is, (what if you like being 'alone' or cut off from others, even though you're frustrated?) I know that sounds miserable, if there's resistance. Yet- it seems that it serves you, for the time being,(who can say at what level) and I don't mean that in any negative way, considering we are only aware of about 1/10th of what is actually 'going on' at any one time. Maybe you are sifting through coming to clarity. That's why I suggest not struggling.
