I live in a very rural area. The water from my house spring flows from a sandstone cave, and is so hard that it leaves deposits in any pan or bowl where it sets. Little stalactites form from faucets. Water pipes are lined with rock like deposits. The water heater must be drained weekly to get the rock out. The kind of minerals in the water is not the kind that the body can use. Bragg and other experts say these unusable minerals accumulate in the joints and arteries causing the same stiffness and build up we see in our water pipes. That is one reason they recommend AVC to break up mineral deposits and to make minerals more readily absorbed by the body.
I have a home distiller and never drink any other type of water, I take my distilled water to work and even to church so I can have pure fresh water. Not all minerals are good minerals that the body can absorb and utilize. Hard water is not ice (frozen water ha ha-not). Hard water is not a healthy drink.
