Sounds like you might have the CERAMIC heaters. That's why everyone switched to CARBON heaters. The ceramic heaters have a rod that heats up the sauna where as the carbon is a sheet or a panel. The ceramic rods have to put so much heat out of that rod that it gets really hot. Try not sitting right up against it...you will still get the good infrared rays. If that dosen't work I know where you can change out your ceramic panels with carbon and that should do the trick.
