Bad breath is just something you have to put up with, we breathe out a lot of the gunk inside our bodies and it's better out than in! You can reduce the stench apparently by brushing regularly with bicarb- not regular toothpaste- and brushing your tongue also. Always examine your tongue before you brush though, a clear pink tongue anytime after day 3-5 is one sign that you are finished your fast and need to start eating again.
Hunger should also dissipate after the first three days or so, but you may still have to fight cravings every so often. In some ways it can be like giving up cigarettes, you really find out how addictive eating food is! Your mind will think of all sorts of excuses to break the fast so you have to be on guard. Make sure you have plenty of plans for the fast in case you need to distract yourself or have more energy to use than you think you will.
Good luck!
Andrew.
