OK, I have looked at this from the same angle as you. I am trying for #3 :-)
First, remember that women without problems seldom post on sites like this.
Now, given that, it does seem to me-- just from reading--like there are some miscarriages for women who get pregnant right away (BTW, you can get pregnant by having sex a few days BEFORE taking the IUD out-- so be careful!)
The manufacturers of Mirena admit that it takes 1-3 months to get the uterine lining back to normal. That could well be part of the problem! I know I have had really short periods (2 days) since it was removed so that could be part of the problem.
Mnay women here are told that it takes 3-6 months for their bodies to be completely back to normal. You can always wait a couple months before TTC. We waited one month for my peace of mind, but you could wait 3 if that helps.
One thing you will probably find is, many women who don't get pregnant immediately upon removal take a few months naturally, because your cycles may not be regular right off. They may, but may not. A friend of mine in her mid-20s took 5 months to get pregnant post-Mirena, because her cycles were strange-- short periods, long but irregular cycles....
They say that you have the same odds of getting pregnant within a year after Mirena as a normal couple, and with all the thousands of women on Mirena, there are no health studies or anything saying there are often problems after-- so take heart-- but beware of those couple of issues and plan accordingly!
And the best of luck to you!
