I am a mixed type.
According to his book, you can eat all vegetables
except iceberg lettuce, carrots, potatoes, beets,
squashes, and corn (which is really a grain)
I have read on his website where he avoids spinach.
He tells you to listen to your body when it comes to
the vegetables you eat. See this article:
http://www.mercola.com/2006/jul/4/beat_heart_disease_by_eating_your_vegetable...
I also looked at my "Recommended Foods Chart"
on protein types that I received from him and it
reads: Non-Starch: asparagus, beans, fresh, celery, mushroom,
spinach. High Starch: artichoke, carrot, pea, potatoes, fried
in butter only, squash, winter.
It is going to depend where you are in the program.
If you are just starting, I would stay away from
the high glycemic vegetables. In the end he wants you
to consume most of your vegetables raw.
Good Luck to You!
