The good old days.
I used to think that only old fogeys talked about the good ol' days, when they reminisced about better times: healthier environments, honest do-something-for-you people, when English was spoken with eloquence and style....the "how now brown cow brigade" ad infinitum.....
By definition then I must have now progressed to the old fogey stage of my life as that is exactly what I am beginning to do.

On reflection, senior citizens (as I prefer to call the older generation) do tend to dwell in the past; they remember what guests ate at their wedding in 1943, but what they had for breakfast this morning.........is another matter entirely!!

Thanks so much for posting this! What fun! I remember so many things from that site, and there are some other things that have come back to me, too! I'm surprised that 8-tracks weren't mentioned! Does anyone still have an 8-track player? And I just made myself some water with a ZenEnergize tablet in it. They are these new fizzing beverage tablets that I picked up at Whole Foods. There are several varieties and each has a mix of vitamins or something in them, and they are naturally flavored and sweetened with stevia. Anyway, I have no idea if they are really any good as a supplement. I just like the way that they taste! And I picked them up because they reminded me of the fizzy tablets that I used to make drinks with when I was a kid. They came in a foil blister pack and several great flavors. If I focus and think back, I can actually still taste the root beer one! They weren't 'good' for you, but they were so much fun! I'm glad someone is using the idea again!
