Hello,
This is not my area of expertise (nor am I a doctor) but if I were in your shoes this is what I would do:
Making sure your son develops proper vision is a huge concern so I would definitely try and rectify the situation asap. Surgery seems to be the most common diagnoses for childern since you are dealing with either muscle or nerve issues. From what I understand there are mild to severe cases so each person must be evaluated on an individual level. With this being a child I would also have frequent eye exams to monitor the development of his vision as he grows.
I understand your concern and hesitation for surgery but sometimes it's the best way to go. You just need to make sure you are under the care of a good doctor and you must research and educate yourself so you are better equiped to deal with the doctors and their recommendations.
It's always best to get three opinions before you decide on surgery. You should also consider getting an appointment at a medical center that specializes in integrative medicine. This will allow you see all your options (modern and natural)and help point you in the right direction. If you would like me to try and find someone to help you please email me at kelley@triesca.com
Best of luck to you.
namaste,
Kelley
