I'm AB negitive. Once told there was no need to give my blood as 'no one needs it.' I was also told that it is the best blood for immune defense. Well considering the lack of interest in this forum, its probably true that few people have this 'odd' blood type? PT- What about AB+? Anne H.

I am AB+ and have also stopped giving blood since 'nobody wants it' either. Also, I have low blood pressure and easily faint so giving blood was a long, unpleasant experience for me.
What I was told was that AB is a universal receiver of blood but can only give to other AB types.
I don't know about the immune system for AB types, but I do know that I am extemely healthy and rarely get sick.

MoreThis is a reply to # 10,814Hi Anne, at first when the donor bank said there was not need to come back, I thought it was for finding too much alcohol in my blood! But you got the same message, too few of us to be concerned.
I think the rumors about the powerful immune system are true, I have to abuse myslef to get sick. I have only met 2 other AB types and they were both blond and blue eyes like me and rarely sick. I did have a bout with sore throats but made a zapper that takes them away fast enough. Think my wisdom teeth caused this grief.
Heard another strange rumor that Jesus had AB blood! How on earth anyone would know this is beyond me. In any event, will research more as time allows. Peter

Angelpool, I have been 'studying' for a few years now, both scientifically and spiritually and see an interesting correlation to the blood type, blood line and 'code'

My website is being quoted as authoritative on this matter. What I say is what some researchers report. On that I am authoritative. BUT, that doesn't mean I agree.
While I do believe that the Shroud of Turin is genuine, and while I think it is certain that the bloodstains are real human blood. I don't believe that we can identify the blood type after nearly 2000 years.
Ray Rogers, a Fellow of the Los Alamos Laboratory of the University of California is very specific about the problems of blood typing on old blood. Almost all of about 75 researchers I correspond with agree with him. We cannot know.
The bloodstains are from real human blood. Different scientists, working independently, conducted immunological, fluorescence and spectrographic tests, as well as Rh and ABO typing of blood antigens that prove it beyond any doubt. Several experts in forensic medicine and blood chemistry conclude that the stains were formed by real human bleeding from real wounds on a real human body that came into direct contact with the cloth. Many of the stains have the distinctive forensic signature of clotting with red corpuscles about the edge of the clot and a clear yellowish halo of serum. It appears to be AB but we cannot know for sure that it is.

This is a reply to # 10,850Lmao, I'm sorry... That's just so ridiculous as to be laughable. The site doesn't even prove that Jesus was AB, nor whether or not he was negative or positive. Actually, it doesn't really PROVE that the body in that shroud WAS Jesus, but I won't get into that.

We sent blood flecks to the laboratory devoted to the study of ancient blood at the State University of New York. None of these claims could be confirmed. Many are called, but few are chosen is not referring to your blood type. People can not be saved by their blood type. But can be saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and following after Him. If you were saved by your blood type Jesus would not have died on the cross for our sins.

This is a reply to # 10,832The blood stains on the Turin Shroud reveal they are of the blood group AB positive, the same as the Eucharistic Miracle of Lanciano and the Sudarium (Face-Cloth) of Christ.
The slice of human heart flesh preserved [and security sealed against fraud and theft] exhibits very interesting properties that are in keeping with the tradition of no matter the size of a consecrated host, it is the whole of Jesus the communicant recieves. A surgeon also commented that the way the heart tissue had been sliced would have been very difficult for a modern expert surgeon to achieve.
'The blood has congealed and is now in five clots in the glass chalice. In 1971 and 1981 a hospital laboratory tested the flesh and blood and discovered that the flesh is myocardium, that is heart muscular tissue, so we could say it is the heart of Jesus, the Sacred Heart, and the blood is of the blood group AB positive. In 1978 NASA scientists tested the blood on the Turin Shroud and interestingly also discovered that it is of the blood group AB positive. (The Sudarium, Face Cloth of Christ, mentioned in John 20:6 is also of the blood group AB positive.) Despite the fact that human flesh and blood should not have remained preserved for 1300 years the hospital lab tests found no trace of any preservatives . One final interesting point about the five blood clots in the chalice is that when you weigh one of them, it is the same weight as all five together, two of them together weigh the same as all five. In fact no matter what way you combine the blood clots individually or in a group to weigh them, they always weigh the same. (This shows that the full Jesus is present in a particle of the Eucharist no matter how small.)

I do plan to read this shroud story. But I read that AB- blood is the newest and rarest blood type just comming out about 1000 years ago. Jesus was on earth over 2000 years ago. Was he the only one on earth with that blood type at one time??.

This is a reply to # 10,815I disagree. I've been called back several times for my AB blood. I was told they like to harvest my plasma and whole blood for premie babies and other people with low immune systems. I also try to do apheresis, a process that removes the properties from the blood that they want, and returns the rest of your blood with a little saline solution back into your body. The blood techs usually take platelets, but it depends on what they need. Only thing is the process can be lenghty, and the saline solution can make you cold. Apheresis collection stations usually have a good selection of movies and a tv to watch them from. Bring a snuggie and a good book.

This is a reply to # 10,814Hi Anne - So you posted awhile ago on this topic....so not sure what you've learned since? Not sure about the Jesus nonsense or being healthier? What is true is that AB - is the rarest blood type, followed by B-, and then AB +. AB+ is the universal recipeint and can only donate to other AB + people...So as far as donating blood goes - yeah it would seem a waste....as your blood would probably never be used for transfusion as only other AB people could accept your blood, and they in fact can take blood from anyone. If your AB + like me, you can donate plasma and platletes! You are a universal donor for this and your donation is very important. Plasma donation uses a wider guage needle and takes a bit longer than blood donation. In Plasma donation your blood is taken out and the plasma is centifuged out in a machine and then your blood is put back......many cyles of this to "fill a bag of plasma" and hence the time. Really isn't bad though and you don't feel nearly as week as when you donate blood. I would encourage you though to donate plasma as opposed to blood as you are a universal donor in that regard and plasma is used in numerous ways to help people. If you do donate plasma the one suggestion I have is to be well hydrated before you donate as this will dramatically reduce the time of donation, as Plasma is mostly water. Also Plama donation can be done twice a week as opposed to blood donation which is done every 2 months or so. So go donate some plasma and see if you can handle it....some people can't but it's really not that bad and everyone can take your plasma as your AB....Look up the many uses plasma donation....and they will pay for your donation...although not much :)Advertisement
