Tom F. --- Parkinson's Disease

Male: 70 year old - 6'1'' tall - 200lbs.

Tom has had Parkinson's Disease 30+ years. Has been on different types and dosages of meds, and at the present time is taking Sinemet 50/200 and Mirapex 1.5mg every 4-5 hours (4 doses per day). Occasionally he will take Sinemet 25/100 for an extra boost. His passion is music - Vocalist and Guitarist. In 1998 he had to stop playing guitar because his fingers would not cooperate to play, and most recently he cannot perform anymore as far as taking responsibility for a band due to his physical and mental handicap.

September 2006 I noticed negative changes in his health. He began aging extremely fast. Rigidity had been his main symptom with mild tremor of the left hand. He was falling more than usual, having difficulty getting up from a chair-had to "rock" to get going, stooping over more, unable to walk very far-no energy, shuffling, and that Parkinson's "mask" on his face was more clearly evident. He started having hallucinations (partially due to his meds), and his short term memory was failing to the point that he could not even remember to take his meds. His personal grooming declined considerably, although he had always been very clean and well dressed.

January 2007

The latter part of January he started drinking MonaVie Active.....2oz. 2x a day - am & pm. After only 5 days, there was a change in his facial expression - the "mask" was going away. He seemed to have more energy, and was standing up straighter. He increased his MonaVie to 2oz. 3x a day and kept feeling better and better to the point where he felt like he could play tennis again (he loves tennis!). After 3 weeks of drinking MonaVie he is seeming more and more normal -- was helping me clean a property that I own. I asked him if he felt like he could play cards that day and he said, "Yes!". We used to play cards every week with friends, and the last time we played was 8 mos. ago. We had to stop the game, because he kept fading away and couldn't remember the cards. Well, we played cards all right, and to our amazement he played as if nothing had ever been wrong - he could remember the cards, and successfully played 2 games - even won a few hands! We were all sitting around the table with our mouths open in disbelief at what we were witnessing!



The only thing that has changed in Tom’s life is the addition of MonaVie Active. Results of a blood test showed Triglycerides down 119 points, HDL up 8 points!

Tom was re-evaluated by his Neurologist today! His last evaluation was 9 months ago, when his score on the memory test and the motor skills was 21 out of a possible 30 points. Today he tested at 26, and his motor skills were NORMAL! When the doctor looked at Tom’s blood test results he proclaimed that they were better than his own. The doctor was told by his own physician that he should probably go on medication, but the doctor wanted to see if he could get his total cholesterol under control by diet. He told Tom that if his blood test did not show the results he wanted to see by June, that he would start drinking MonaVie also!!! Tom continues to play tennis on a regular basis, sing and play his guitar! He has joined the company and wants to tell the World about MonaVie!

Tom’s Neurologist has started reducing his Parkinson’s medication!!!

Tom’s drivers license was suspended several months ago, and because he has improved so much mentally and physically, he was able to take his driving tests again today, and PASSED!!!

Tom received notice from the DMV today that his suspension "has ended"!!! He can drive again!!!
