When the recent sightings of the birdmen were
being talked about, I was discussing them with
my BF and he told me that his cousins and he
had seen one as young men. He was scared very
much by this experience. This creature dive
bombed them and so he described a humongous
wing span. I will have to ask him again what
it is called since they told the adults and
his grandmother had also seen one and so there
is a name for what they are called. He also
said that when children were bad that the
parents would tell them this creature would
come to get them, sort of like a boogie man.
So, with this in mind, it could well be that
people are seeing strange beings and calling
them this creatures name and identifying them
as such as this is what in their mind could
be the only explanation.

Personally, I have no problem with
believing there are many things we do not
understand and so when I hear grown folks
reporting they are seeing something, I tend
to accept that they saw something, but am
not always sure that it was what they thought
they saw.
