I haven't been here in a long time, but I'm back. Last year I did a 30 day water fast. I kept all the weight off and lost more! I felt great for the first 3 weeks (after day 4 of course). The only downside was I shed quite a bit of hair and when it started growing back in, there was enough of it that I had little spikes in my hair for a few months until it was long enough to lay flat again.
This year I'm doing a 2 week water fast. I loved the clarity I gained on my first fast and the energy I had. This time will be a little harder because I'm also doing it to help me quit smoking. I quit a couple of years ago, but I moved to a new town and picked the nasty habit back up for a few months.
