Cure Boils, Staph Infections and MRSA
Updated: December 25, 2007 1:37 PM EST
BACK STORY
We never would have created these 8 pages devoted to MRSA and boils had it not been for the weird winter of '06 in Los Angeles. Within a matter of 2 weeks in January of 2006, 50% of everyone we know was breaking out in a terrible series of boils: on the face, arms, legs, back, neck, etc. etc. We're talking about some very healthy, very active people! We too got boils on our face for the first time. After talking to our friends, we decided something really odd was going on. So then we started talking to health professionals, from doctors to facialists to acupuncturists, all of whom likewise reported a surge in boils during this same period of time. Once we heard that, we immediately set up this page on Earth Clinic. Almost 2 years later, the evidence is growing and alarming.
One theory of why that particular boil spike happened in '06 has led us down our current path of blaming environmental toxicity and rain. It was a holistic doctor friend of ours that theorized the first big rain of the season brought down a lot of toxins from the air, which everyone either touched (plants, trees, pet's fur, etc) or inhaled. This same doctor recommended the natural cure you will read below, which has been a life saver (literally) for many folks.
We believe we have successfully nailed a cure for boils and a preventative treatment for MRSA (see turmeric feedback below), so now Earth Clinic is devoting energy to pinpointing this epidemic by tracking people who are getting boils or MRSA for the very first time. We have (as of 5/19/2007) rented survey software and have posted our questionnaire form with many more questions. You can view results from this questionnaire in REAL TIME here. [NOTE: All results from our questionnaire prior to 5/19/2007 can be found on this page.]
If you have experienced a boil for the very first time, please take our 21 question survey immediately. The most important data we can receive right now is from people who have just been diagnosed and can remember events & dietary factors leading up to their outbreak.

BOIL CURE REPORTED WITH TURMERIC, MAGNESIUM AND ZINC
12/20/2007: Susan from Goldsboro, NC writes: "Tumeric, magnesium & zinc rids boils. Since June of 07 I started getting very painfull boils every few weeks about 20 in total. After several courses of
Antibiotics failed I began heavy research. Discovered the three ingredients when taken during the first 12 hours stop the bacteria chain which causes the boil from developing. I immediately apply a magnesium/zinc based lotion - found "LaCure Dead Sea foot lotion" works best. It contains, salts, minerals including magnesium & zinc plus it is a natural antibacterial and anti fungal lotion. I apply it 3 times daily. Then I take magnesium with zinc supplements orally 200-400mg daily and also drink a hot tumeric tea 2-3 times a day until the bump is cleared. Usually takes 2-4 days. Since doing this any bumps that appear never advance to full blowm boils and I no longer get the pain that was accompanied. This website helped me alot."
MRSA CURE REPORTED WITH TURMERIC, BORAX, ACV AND BAKING SODA!
11/12/2007: gwen from denver, Colorado writes: "Turmeric, Alkalizing, Boron/Borax, ACV, & baking soda cured my MRSA! Also clean everything in infected area with Borax. Started with the first boil of my life, (I'm 58), in Oct, 06. Searched the web & found this site. Stayed strong & persistent with alkalizing. Took 2-3 months, but all is gone & it is Nov. 07! When I feel a resurgence of a suspected "bump" of any kind, any where on my body, I immediately hit the Turmeric & it stops it within 24hours. I continue 2 x's daily with ACV/BSoda/Borax & will for the rest of my life. Pay special attention to drinking water. To de-chlorinate & de-fluoride is amazing! I know people with Morgellon's that the info has help them recover. Found references to the "silent superbug" very helpful for understanding what is going on. More surprise disease's coming in the future. Bless you all & Thanks!"
MISDIAGNOSIS ALERT!
From the feedback we have been receiving at Earth Clinic, it seems that many people (including doctors) are misdiagnosing their boils/staph infections/MRSA for spider bites, so please be very careful! If you don't remember being bitten by a spider (a rare occurrence), it's probably a boil or possibly a staph infection.

HIDRADENITIS SUPPURTIVA AND DEODORANT
8/11/2007: Chris from paris, texas writes: "i used to get horrible boils (golf ball to baseball size) under my arm pits. i had a doctor suggest that i may have a condition known as (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hidradenitis-suppurativa/DS00818) Hidradenitis Suppurativa, he said this was incurable. i do not believe in incurable conditions. After lots of research and a trip to a local allergy specialist i found that was actually allergic to aluminum zirconium, a very common ingredient in antiperspirants (see
http://health.howstuffworks.com/question627.htm
for more information) i switched to an antiperspirant withouts actually allergic to aluminum zirconium and the boils stopped.
My allergy Dr. told me that alot of people actually get misdiagnosed with Hidradenitis Suppurativa because of boils in the armpit when all that is wrong with them is their choice of antiperspirant. i also want to point out that i have seen this ingredient listed on several feminine hygiene products for moisture control."

READER WARNING: GET TESTED FOR MRSA
11/23/2006: Kimberly form Sequin, TX writes, "I got several staph infections, but was never tested for MRSA. January of 2004, I got one on my forehead and one on the hairline near my neck. I chose to lance them at home, which was the biggest mistake I could have made. The infection on my neck got into my bloodstream, traveled into my spinal cord and festered for nearly three months. When my back pain began, doctors could find no cause for it, so they admitted me to the local hospital after three trips to the ER in agonizing pain, and treated me for five days for Kidney infection and Kidney stones. Turned out it was MRSA in my lungs, blood, spinal cord, pneumonia and bronchitis. By the time they realized this my blood pressure was dangerously low, as well as my blood oxygen level. I had about six hours to live at this point. Thankfully a rather risky back surgery saved my life, as well as 2 months of severe
Antibiotic treatments, where I was given Vancomyacin through a groshong catheter directly into my aorta. Lesson here, if you get more than one staph infection, get tested for MRSA. I didn't, and the result is life long pain. My son was only six months old when this happened. He is two now and I can still barely carry him for long."
There's tons more...!!!
