Recurring yeast and Mirena

I've had the mirena for 2 years and have recurring yeast infections since I got it. The Gyn's office insists it is not the cause but I have never had a problem with them in my life. It's absolutely ridiculous. I KNOW the IUD is the cause and I want it out.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,073,319I have had the Mirena since March 2007.. I think I have had at least 10 yeast infections since. Plus - I cannot believe how nasty I am (mean) during what would be my pms week. I do not bleed more than spotting, but I even though I bled on the pill, I would take that in a minute!

I had that too !! To the point where my labia was swollen ! No problems since removal !
My dr also said it wasnt from the device. He couldnt explain why it started when the device was inserted. He said I had an allergy to my toilet paper or soap or laundry detergent. Whatever !
