as I understand it the 811 diet by Dr Douglas Graham errs mainly on the fruitarian side, which according to some reports with Natural Hygiene can lead to many health problems.
Just so long as your diet is an EQUAL mixture of all-raw fruit, nuts seeds and veggies.

QUESTION: Can I eat too much fruit? What are the signs?
First - "too much" is very individual - for some it may be 50% of the diet, for others 10% or much less. The more you exercise, the more fruit
Sugar you burn, and therefore won't get into health trouble for quite some time.
The classic fruit-overeating signs are bleeding gums and loose teeth (boneloss around the teeth) - a common problem for fruitarian (all-fruit) diets. And high-fruit vegan diets. Depending on degree of fruit-overeating - the problems can take 10 to 20 years to become really serious - or will show within weeks.

Look out for any of these signs: slowly receding bone (due to demineralisation) in the mouth around your teeth, splitting finger nails (demineralisation), finger nail ridges (calcium demineralisation), occasional muscle cramps and spasm (due to calcium losses), dark areas underneath the finger nails (mineral and protein deficiencies), osteoporosis, bones that break easily, dry scalp, dry brittle hair, small red blood vessels on the skin surface. The acidity in fruits is probably the culprit, through a process called "acidosis". As soon as you switch to an adequate diet, your body will remineralize.
Another problem process is due to the high
Sugar contents in modern fruits - through the "insulin-mechanism". (Note: can be caused by other high-carbohydrate foods as well). High
Sugar levels in the blood trigger high insulin levels, which triggers increased fat-storage in the body. Sugar-craving occurs 2-3 hours after the latest meal.
Look out for: overeating, difficulty reaching ideal weight, hyperinsulinemia, high blood-sugar, feeling tired and sleepy. (More serious later signs are: swelling of feet, diabetes, heart problems, high cholesterol problems.)
