I'll probably be castigated for this reply, but I tend to take more of a pragmatic, as opposed to dogmatic, approach to questions like yours.
I don't think 6
oz of red wine will harm you, and if it increases the probability of achieving your goals for fasting, then I wouldn't discourage it. Too many people set objectives for fasts of various types that they fail to accomplish because it's just so gosh darn difficult, and if this works for you, then I say go for it.
