Here's an example about Mary, his mother.

     "Mary also instilled a love of humanity within Jesus.  One day when he (Jesus) was preaching he was interrupted and told that his mother and brothers were seeking him.  He said, "Who are my mother and my brothers?"  Looking around, he then plainly said to the crowd of listeners, "Here are my mother and my brothers.  Anyone who does the will of God, that person is my brother, and my sister , and my mother."   Just in these short sentences we see how he loved his family and gave honor to women---especially his mother."

Sylvia on Mary Magdalene:

     "Magdalene had absorbed more knowledge from Christ's lectures than the disciples.  She has also learned from the quiet times at night when she and Jesus would talk for hours and even sometimes until the sun came up.  Jesus really gave her more knowledge than any of his disciples, and in speaking to her he didn't have to resort to parables (which he was noted for).  She understood his meaning without the usage of them."

Even if you don't feel that you believe in Sylvia Browne, this book is special because of the sacred relationship that Mary and Mary Magdalene had and also Jesus had with his mother and Magdalene.
