Mother God: The Feminine Principle To Our Creator (Sylvia Browne's book)
I will provide a brief/short summary only on some points. It is just a glimpse into a book
that delves into the principle. People have yet to read any of her works (books)- it seems
that if you want to talk about an author's works, one should in all fairness, read the works.
Don't you just love/not hate-because to me hate is a very strong word/
people when they say " I haven't seen the movie but... and then proceed to rant and rave)
about a movie that they haven't seen (mostly because other people told them about it).
The Feminine Principle:
My intention is to present a body of information (and I briefly summarize Sylvia's work).
Did you know ( and I believe) that there was a feminine side to creation?
Yes. A Mother God.
Let's go back in history/time.
All cultures of the world have female principles- female gods and goddesses.
The Virgin Mary ( in Catholicism the Virgin Mary was called Stella Maris (Star of the Sea).
The Mother of Jesus- Catholicism reveres her. This reverence is just and true for She is
also Mother God- the other half of the co-creator which is God (this sentence my emphasis)
Sylvia states: In (Genesis 1:26) it is written "Let us make man to our image and likeness."
The "us" refers to who made humans (who-plural pronoun-more than one). She says:
"So we see in Genesis that Mother God was either a part of God or co-created with God
as a god or goddess unto Herself." She further states this:
Mother God- "eventually, the Bible shows that the Mother God was pushed out of
favor by the patriarchal priests, but people still worshipped." In the temples and altars
of the Jewish faith there were hidden symbols of Her (p.11).
Mother God's manifestation:
Islam: The Prophet Muhhamad (prophet of the faith of Islam) provides teachings whereby
women were equal to men (in A.D. 610-632 that was unheard of).
Hinduism- believers in the feminine principle (Hindu goddesses-Durga, Kali,
Saraswati, Devima)
Buddhism- Mother Goddess- manifested in Kwan Yin (name means "she who hears the cries
of the world).
Thankyou for reading thus far.
Wow! there's God and Mother God- how neat is that. Well, don't know about you but
that explains plenty to me.
I believe that there is a Mother God. She has been suppressed and the female principle
is valid and the male priciple is valid (in no particular order- you know like what came first
the chicken or the egg).
Let us open a discussion on this principle.
