You could try using lemon instead and see if there is a difference in your response. It may be the smell because I notice if I deliberately smell the drink I feel sick from it. I find drinking it quickly helps. Also when I get high up in the dosage I like to add a fruit drink and that also seems to help.

It may help if you describe your diet then others can make some suggestions on how to prevent your problem with acidity.

I noticed the acidic stomach in the beginning. I attribute this to the toxins related to the die off of pathogens. It does go away. With me it comes back occasionally. I suspect this happens in the intestines as well. It does help to take an extra supplement of probiotics once in a while. It also helps me when I take a little baking soda. It has already been said how helpful it is to ingest more alkalizing foods and drink more water.
