Take a pot of boiled water & towel and put your face near the steam with towel over your head (to keep in steam) and breath in deep. You can add some menthol to the water or other essential oil, if you like. I like it plain.
I have had two serious sinus attacks. My first after having dental work done, an upper tooth. My doctor said that bacteria can easily transfer to the sinus cavity via dental roots. I was 33. I had another attack during a stressful time just a couple of yrs ago.
I found the steam most helpful and it really got rid of my headaches, so I would do them often. I also did the saline nasal wash, which I hated doing but it really did the trick.
I haven't had an attack since because at the slightest sensation of pressure I do the steam trick.
However, if you have kids they will want to join in too, my kids would be sitting around the living room with their heads over pots breathing in the steam. Even their friends would want to join in. LOL.
I haven't read the thread so I hope this isn't just a rerun of what else has been said, but if it has been repeated then it must be good!
