TK--- Hi Anne, Clay will not chelate Hg and there is no Science to back it up. It is supposed to be a very good general detox treatment and seems to help some people feel a lot better, like many things do. It may help in other areas of detox which in turn may help your body excrete Hg on it's own, depending on many factors. It does not hurt any to try it to see if it can make you feel better and help with symptoms. The only way it might chelate is if you used it like a sauna where you emersed yourself in it and sweated but the sweating is what is chelating not the clay.

Thanks for pointing that out. I wasn't actually trying to promote pascalite clay....I thought it might be helpful to post in this forum a statement that one company that sells that clay has made recently (after Andreas Moritz enquired about it), which verifies what you say.
Using pascalite clay has been promoted many times on curezone (by Andreas) as an effective way of removing metals from the body. Some people may still have believed this so I thought this information needed to be posted here.
I have had 2 pascalite baths several months ago, didn't do anything obvious so I was skeptical anyway.

TK--- Not off hand. I do know he does not believe in clay baths for chelating. Aluminum levels will usually go down after removal from exposure and during the process of chelation without any particular treatment. If they are very high there are some things in specific you can do to help, can't remember them at the moment so if someone wants to chime in please do.

Also in "Optimum Nutrition for the Mind", Patrick Holford states that calcium is good for keeping aluminium (and cadmium) levels down. He also said it's poorly absorbed into the body unless you're zinc deficient.
