In recent messages, talk of algin as a natural chelater was touched apon. Is it possible to take this supplement before Amalgams are removed? Also any info on algin would be much appreciated.

If he is right and it doesn't hurt anything, I don't see why it couldn't be used before removal. I've never used it myself so can't say for sure.
