Health Advocate Publishes "Sick, Disgusting" Photos and Video
(NewsTarget) Consumer health advocate Mike Adams (aka "The Health Ranger") has a beef against shoppers buying processed meat this Christmas. And to show people exactly what they're getting when they purchase processed meat products, he's posted a shockingly disgusting photo tour of a typical processed meat Christmas gift product: The 48-Oz. Hillshire Farm "Yard-O-Beef" Summer Sausage. The photos are available online right now at: http://www.newstarget.com/phototour_yardobeef_1.html
Using a special macro lens and camera flash unit, Adams was able to capture the Yard-O-Beef product in astonishing detail: Black specs emerge with frightening clarity, fat blobs ooze out of tissue caves, and string-like tissue strands seem to be reaching skyward from the surface of the meat products. The images were so frightening that Adams mixed a collage of the photos with a trash beat music track and posted the video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjNGFvqxUSM
Virtually all processed meat products contain sodium nitrite, Adams says, and that chemical additive has been linked to pancreatic cancer, colon cancer and breast cancer. The World Cancer Research Fund recently completed a review of over 5,000 studies on the link between meat consumption and cancer, concluding that there is no safe level of processed meat consumption and that all consumers should avoid processed meat forever (unless they want cancer). This is the first time that any large global health group has specifically warned consumers about the health dangers of processed meats.

"As far as I'm concerned, it's not even food anymore."
You are quite correct. Unfortunately, the same can be said about much of our non-meat processed and/or GMO food items as well as the co-called fresh produce which is non-organic and comes from nutrient depleted soils.
I respect your choice of diets, but would advise that no matter what one chooses it would be a good idea to choose carefully, make sure that you get an adequate supply of essential nutrients and take steps to keep the body cleansed and de-toxed on a regular basis.
