What oils are good for getting rid of mouth sores?
Over the weekend, I developed a weird sore on the roof of my mouth, and it goes nearly all the way to the back of my throat.
It's so bad that I've been reduced to consuming liquids and soft foods.
Even drinking water hurts (and I drink only ozonated).
I wonder what could be the cause of this sudden problem. I was fine last week.
Help!

Sometimes mouthsores are a result of oil pulling/toxins and go away with contined oil pulling. Coconut oil is very strong and can do this but it does usually go away. I would suggest sunflower for myself if I had a mouth sore.- Anastacia and Sandover High on Water

are 34 photos which include lichen planus sores IN THE MOUTH, too!
I would be most interested to know if the sores in your mouth looked like this. (Also, I would imagine Killimunati would be interested too, if her sore looks like this, and yours did too, and you both resolved the issue through continued oil pulling)!
I'm curious, because if your mouth sores were undiagnosed lichen planus, (which is quite painful) it would be very exciting to know that oilpulling resolved this issue!!!
You see, my sister has this, and I've asked this question before to no avail. Perhaps many have had this, and it simply went undiagnosed. (I personally believe that I had a melanoma that I got rid of using iodine, for example, although it was never "officially" diagnosed.)

Thank you for taking the time. I'd like to see my sister resolve her problem.

Ouch. I looked at those pictures last night and no, they were not similar to my sore in appearance. Mine looked like an extremely large canker sore -- it was about 1/2" x 1" but was its own thing with no radiating outwards, etc.
We have had various people with LP ask about OP and its effects on LP since I have been a participant here. Unfortunately, none of them have reported a cure. I did do a CZ search on it at one point and I think Spirit replied to someone a while back that in his opinion, it would take a raw diet, internal cleansing, etc. The same idea underlying -- that any external/skin problems reflect an internal disability to clean properly.
I do think that OP is a good complement to the above practices. I'm pretty convinced that the oil of oregano pushed some "stuff" out of me.
And iodine...what about iodine? Have you looked into that?

This is a reply to # 1,047,275The sore I have looks like an angry red line starting from the roof of my mouth to mearly the back of my throat.
The soreness is along that line. I've never had that problem before.
Usually, I'd get sores just on the roof of my mouth (a couple of spots here and there) but nothing like what I have now.
I gargled with Scope (blecch), drank some ozonated water, and OP'ed with ozonated sunflower oil.
I've also been taking 14 wheatgrass tablets a days (don't have patience to grow it.).- Re: Feeling a lot Better #70609

This is a reply to # 1,047,358I would leave the scope alone. Look on the bottle and see if the ingredients consist of sucralose. If so that may be your problem. This sweetner caused sores in my mouth and stripes on my tongue. This product is a chlorine which is what your trying to avoid while on iodine.
I mix
3TBSP. coconut oil,
3TBSP. sunflower oil,
20 drops lugols
I store it in an old glass spice jar and keep it in the bathroom for daily use.
I Op with this mix and also apply it to my gums, face, neck, arms and elbows each night. I burnt the roof of my mouth last week and this worked great.- Re: Feeling a lot Better Killimunati

Time for me to go back to using Dr. Ken's Mouthwash.
At least Dr. Ken's products contain no artificial sweeteners (only natural)

This is a reply to # 1,046,743No, my mouth sore was no where near that bad or severe. You know those little acid bumps you get on the inside of your cheeks when you eat to much acidic foods? Well mine was like that but bigger.
Those pictures look severe.

I got a HUGE mouth sore last year about 2-3 weeks after starting OP (I think it was after I began adding a little oregano oil, and my theory was that it was a dormant HSV virus coming up and out). It took about 10-12 days to go away and it was completely miserable the whole time and my heart goes out to you! Not fun.
Last spring several people had mouth sores, perhaps from detoxing Rx drugs or other non-microbial toxins, so unless you are someone who gets canker/mouth sores regularly it may just be toxins coming out faster than your body can process them. I OP'ed throughout the sore episode and it did not get worse. I also took L-Lysine and ended up taking narcotic pain meds it was so bad.
About the best I can say is that it will go away...I did not find any topical stuff helpful because it would not stay on. I would be willing to bet that cayenne would stop the pain, but I would also be willing to bet it would hurt like the dickens while it was kicking in, which might be more than you want to bear (I used straight cayenne several times up my nose this summer for migraine relief and it worked really well after that first 20-30 minutes of fiery beyond-belief pain...clove oil is supposed to be good, too.) Nowadays with a mouth sore I would probably swish with a little Lugol's and raw milk.
Hope you feel better soon....that sucks.

Have you ever read about the relationship of the roof of the mouth and the pituitary? Some interesting stuff... that could lead you to even more interesting stuff!
