Answer: Generally edema may be Caused by the body having too much Sodium in ratio to the amount of Potassium !
Many times this is from Sodium, which is in Salt, which people use too much of as food seasonings ?
An increase in Calcium and Reducing the amount of Salt intake many times may help ?
And one may increase the intake of BSM to provide more Potassium and also get many other needed Alkaline Minerals for the body at the same time !

This is a reply to # 1,044,097OK thankyou! would your answer change (and i should have been more specific in the original question) if i said the edema came from inflammation of a fungal infection(entry via a scratch)?
The fungal infection seems to be under control now and the edema which should have also reduced and it did in the beginning, has suddenly increased and gotten worse again. I generally do put Himilayan Salt (a pinch) in all my glasses of water everyday. Do you still suggest I cut this out for a while ? thanks much- Re: --Answer--Edema moreless

no.. I am taking approx 400 mg of Magnesium Citrate (in a powder water soluable form). i add this to my kelp/greens. plse advise.. I recently also purchased a ionic foot detox an have done that twice and will do it everyday until I"m better. Physically I feel really good afterward,s but unfortunately my eye has not improved yet. thanks ml

Answer: Magnesium Citrate does "NOT" react the same way as Epsom Salts(Magnesium Sulfate) reacts in the body !
So, this means "YOU" will "NOT" get the same Positive results using Magnesium Citrate as you may get by using Epsom Salts !

That's ok, don't worry about it.. I can't read through all the testimonials because the edema is in my eye and the other eye has been strained to the max - that's why I asked you specifically how the epsom salt can cure edema.. thanks- --Eyes need Oxygen-- moreless

Answer: The eyes require plenty of Oxygen to stay Healthy !
In order for this to take place one needs to get their Lymphatic Fluids to the more Alkaline Side, so that the body may have enough Oxygen to supply the eyes !
The Liver and Kidneys may need the Benefits of the Epsom Salt, in order to be able to Remove the Acid Toxins from the body, so that the body may be able to carry more Oxygen ?

This is a reply to # 1,044,664I had edema for 3 yrs.eye lids are swollen.my stomach.my whole body.my fingers.i tried anything that I thought could help.supplements.had blood test.came out negative.i couldn't get rid of this edema.im try what you said.if it works.you need a gift.
